DCPD
DCPD
is a colorless liquid with a camphor-like odor. It is the dimer
of cyclopentadiene (CPD), with a formula of C10H12.
Both CPD and DCPD are contained in coproduct streams from the production
of ethylene.
Texmark recovers DCPD by fractional distillation. The product
is sold in multi grades to meet each customers specific requirement:

customers to make hydrocarbon resins for use in inks and adhesives.
-

to make unsaturated polyester resins (UPR) for use in fiberglass
boats, shower stalls, and vanity marble.
-
HP9 (90+% DCPD used as a chemical intermediate.)
-
Blends for specific DCPD customers.
Texmark sells DCPD in drums, tank trucks, railcars, isocontainers,
